Fish flew through the air
One fell in the gross water
But she was alive

Citizenship Day

Today is Citizenship Day! We will be going to an assembly this afternoon at 2:15 in the courtyard. One person from each class in the school will be sharing sentences his/her class wrote about being a good citizen. Alexis will be reading our sentences. Our sentences are: Being a good BES citizen means we learn. We are learning at BES when we cooperate with new people and people with disabilities. Before we go the assembly, Mrs. Halla will be giving us stickers that read "Proud BES Citizen!" We can't wait until the assembly!!!

Capture the Flag

Today our class had PE. PE stands for physical education. We had to run a lot today because we were playing Capture the Flag outside. In that game, you have to run to the other side and back with the flag. Lots of us were racing around and sliding to tag the person with the flag. When the last point was scored, Owen slid on the dirt and got all messy. After that, Owen got tagged by Tyler. As soon as the last game started, Jarred turned into a rocket and went after the flag. One team's strategy was to have the person running with the flag pretend to pass so that the other team would chase that person. Unfortunately, that strategy didn't work so well. :( One team scored 6 points and the other team scored 4 points. We had a good day at PE class. Mr. Bulger told Mrs. Halla her class has lots of energy and showed great sportsmanship.
